Launching Art Classes in the UK
This start of the year, I officially launched my very first painting class in the UK — and I couldn’t have asked for a more special way to begin.
The class was a 12-year-old’s birthday party, shared with six of her friends and her sister. When her mum told me that she loved narwhals, I knew exactly what the session needed to be. I prepared a narwhal-themed watercolour class, designed to be playful, beginner-friendly, and just structured enough to let creativity flow.
Watching the group settle into painting was a real reminder of why I love teaching. There was excitement, concentration, laughter, and that wonderful moment when each painting started to feel personal. No two narwhals were the same — and that was the joy of it, I gave them structure and guidance to follow along, but let them be free to choose their colours of choice, allowing them to explore their own creativity even more.
As someone who comes from both an art and marine science background, creating experiences like this feels especially meaningful. It’s about more than learning how to paint; it’s about slowing down, connecting with creativity, and turning a shared moment into something tangible to take home. And they learned something about Narwhals too :)
This birthday class marked the beginning of a new chapter for me in the UK. I’m now offering private painting classes and events for all age groups, whether that’s:
Birthday parties
Small group sessions
One-to-one classes
Creative gatherings with friends or family
Each session can be tailored — from wildlife and seascapes to abstract painting — and no previous experience is needed.
If you’re interested in booking a private class or event, you can get in touch via my website. I’d love to help you create a relaxed, creative experience that’s just right for your group.
Here’s to many more paint-splashed tables, curious minds, and ocean-inspired moments to come.
